On the 9th October 2012, we had been placed into the groups for the site specific projects during the lecture. It was a very nerve racking day as no one in the class knew who would be with who. It was a situation where five members of the class were picked with random names and kept on picking the names until they ran out. I was placed into Journalism group C along with Hanna Johnson , Rebecca Crocker , Kieran Hosking and Malin Lindstrom.
I believe that I have been placed in a very strong group as they are all hard working students and very creative. After we were put into groups , we went to talk as a group about each others ideas on what they would like to do for the site specific project. When discussing my Quadrant proposal , everybody really liked the idea of using the space, but it was the fact of how much space we would really be allowed and also because the Quadrant closes quite early , the exhibition would not be at full advantage. Later, after discussing all the possibilities, we were left very undecided between two choices , Bryn-mill park and the Yacht Club in Mumbles.
Today , 12th October 2012, we all came together after a lot organising and communication issues, and visited the yacht club in Mumbles and decided to take photographs documenting the place and how it could be a very good place for a site specific project. I personally really liked the area it was situated in and gained a lot of inspiration on what i could include in my piece of installation. On the Monday , 15th October , we will be visiting Bryn-mill park and will do the exact same thing to see what would be the best place to have our exhibition.
Here are a few photographs I had taken on the day.
